USA Deaf Baseball is honored and pleased to announce the appointment of Danny Gabel as Head Coach for the remainder of the season, including the World Deaf Baseball Championship in Yokohama, Japan this November.
As Executive Director, Danny has played a key role in the continued growth of USA Deaf Baseball, and we are excited for him to lead Team USA as we prepare to compete on the world stage this November. We know he will do a fantastic job!
As part of this transition, Jonny Furman will continue serving as General Manager. Due to an exciting family milestone, Jonny will be unable to travel to Japan this fall as he and his wife prepare to welcome a new baby. He will continue supporting USA Deaf Baseball behind the scenes throughout our World Championship preparations.
Please join us in congratulating Danny on his appointment as Head Coach and wishing Jonny and his family all the best as they prepare to welcome their newest addition. We are grateful to have both of these outstanding leaders helping guide USA Deaf Baseball into the 2026 World Deaf Baseball Championship.
